I have been reading Parents Magazine Kenya for around 20 years and it has always been one of my favorite local magazine. I like it because it is filled with articles written by Kenyan writers covering topics that are relevant to Kenyans. Its full-color, glossy pages also add to its attraction.

I especially love the “I Am A Survivor” section because the harrowing stories by the profiled survivors remind me that self pity is not an option regardless of what I am going through because the human spirit can overcome great obstacles especially when it draws its strength from an All-Mighty God.

Another favorite section of mine is Share My World” because of it contains morsels of wisdom which provide me with lots of food for thought.

In addition, their cover models who are the subjects of their cover stories are inspiring Kenyans who serve as positive role models. They are also fashionably styled in trendy but appropriate outfits.

As if that is not enough, it has articles that are specially tailored for women, for men and for the youth as well as book reviews.

I was therefore pleasantly surprised when I was asked to contribute some answers to their “Ask The Experts” section. Those questions dealt with various aspects of hair loss and you can read my answers in the September 2021 issue.

To celebrate, I am giving away one copy of the Parents Magazines to the person who asks the “best” hair-related question in the comments section of this blog post.
