The ingredients of Cosmelite include the following:
Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone is a skin lightening medication which reduces the amount of skin pigment (melanin) that causes darkening of the skin.
Mometasone
Mometasone is a corticosteroid which reduces redness, itchiness, swelling and other signs of inflammation in the skin. It does this by blocking the production of chemical messengers known as prostaglandins which make the skin red, swollen and itchy.
Tretinoin
Tretinoin is derived from vitamin A. It increases the rate at which the skin cells shed the dark outer layers.

Cosmelite cream is used to treat the following conditions:
Melasma
Melasma, which is also known as chloasma, is a skin condition in which women develop dark patches on the face. These patches are usually over the cheeks, forehead and other parts of the face.
Cosmelite block the processes in the skin that lead to the development of these dark patches.

Cosmelite is used to treat dark eye circles which are also known as periorbital hyperpigmentation.

Clean your face and pat it dry.

Apply Cosmelite to the affected areas and massage it gently into the skin until it is fully absorbed. This prescription cream should only be used at night. It should not come in contact with your nose, mouth and eyes and ears.
Coismelite effects are seen within 2 weeks but maximal effects are seen after 2-3 months of consitsten use.
Cosmelite Cream Side Effects
Side effects of Cosmelite Cream include redness, itchiness, a burning sensation, stinging and irritation at the application site.
These adverse effects should gradually resolve over time but if they persist, consult your doctor.
Cosmelite Cream Precautions
Cosmelite should not be applied on broken skin with wounds or burns.
Cosmelite should not be applied to infected skin.
Persons using Cosmelilte should use also sunscreen because it can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight. These should preferably be a broad- spectrum sunscreen that protects the skin from both UVA and UVB rays with SPF 50. This should be combined with wearing protective clothing like long sleeved shirts and trousers and avoiding the sun from 10 am to 4 pm when it is hottest.

Cosmelite Contraindications
Cosmeelite cream should not be used by person who are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Cosmelilte should not be used by pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
Cosmelite cream should not be used by children aged less than 12 years.
Cosmelite Cream Interactions
Drug to Drug Interactions
Cosmelite can react with photosenstizers or substances that make the skin more sensitive to sunlight . These include aminolevulinic acid, porfirmer and verteporfin. It may also interact with benzoyl peroxide, retinoids like isotretinoin, psoralens like methoxsalen, antiseptics like resorcinol, keratolytic agents like salicylic acid, sulfur.
Drug to Disease Interactions
If you have any skin condition like acne, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, itchy skin, chickenpox, cold sores, warts, shingles, eczema or any other skin condition, consult your doctor before using it.

Drug to Alcohol Interactions
Cosmelilte has not been found to interact with alcohol.

Cosmelite can be used when driving and operating machinery.
