To ensure the best results of your treatment procedure (microdermabrasion, microneedling, chemical peel), before having the procedure done, please do the following:
*1 week before your procedure use sunscreen religiously and avoid spending too much time in the sun because the best results are achieved on skin that is not sun damaged
*1 week before your procedure stop using benzoyl peroxide
*1 week before your procedure stop using retinol and retinoids
*1 week before your procedure do not use chemical exfoliants e.g. salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid
*1 week before your procedure do not use physical exfoliants e.g. face scrubs and cleansing brushes
*1 week before your procedure do not epilate (remove hair) on the areas where you will have the procedure done by using electrolysis or depilatories or waxing or shaving or dermaplaning
*2 weeks before your procedure stop using medications that thin the blood like aspirin and NSAIDS (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs e.g. ibuprofen). This should be done under guidance of the prescribing Doctor.
*2 weeks before your procedure stop using supplements that thin the blood like Ginkgo biloba, vitamin E, fish oils, etc.
The following people should not have the treatment procedures done:
*A persons who has used the acne medicine isotretinoin in the past 6 months
*A person with a personal or family history of keloids
*A person who gets frequent outbreaks of cold sores
*A pregnant woman or one who is breastfeeding
*A person with the following conditions in the area to be treated: eczema, psoriasis, infections, wounds, recent surgery
