The following are some of the acne treatment 2020 updates for the month of November.
Spironolactone is Effective for Acne Treatment
A Mayo Clinic study found that the diuretic spironolactone is a safe and effective medication for the treatment of acne in ladies aged 14 to 20 years who took it for 3 months for their severe papulopustular / moderate nodular acne.
This is a very important acne treatment 2020 update because these girls had not responded to other oral acne treatment medications before they took 100mg of spironolactone for atleast 3 months.
It is important to note that spironolactone can also be used by older women though they should not be pregnant.

Toddler Acne Danger Signs
Toddler acne is not a common skin condition but it does occur. It is caused by hormones like testosterone which trigger the skin to produce more oil.
If your 1-3 year old develops acne together with body hair and their genitals begin developing, consult a Doctor immediately as it could be a sign of a more serious hormonal imbalance. To learn more click here.
